Rick and Dick Shaffer of R&S Paso Fino Stables started training one gelding and a weanling colt. The journey began, first as a hobby and now as a full time training, breeding and show facility. That weanling colt later became a National Champion at the age of three and again at the age of four.
Rick Shaffer is now a highly respected National Paso Fino Judge. He is a full time horse and rider trainer who specializes in finding and training the right horse for you. They breed high quality Paso Fino horses from the best bloodlines. Dick and Rick are dedicated to the young equestrians. They conduct many 4-H seminars and clinics, where they share their knowledge and expertise with the next generation of horse owners.
